Differences
Apart from all the difference passives and abilities that either Werewolf or Vampire give, there is 1 key difference between the 2:
Once you are a Vampire, this is active constantly, you will constantly gain the buffs (and debuffs) such as increased stamina and magicka recovery, but also decreased health recovery (depending on your vampirism stage and your unlocked passives.
The Werewolf works different, in order to gain acces to your Werewolf abilities, and becoming a Werewolf, you have to use the 'Werewolf Ultimate' this ultimate transforms you into a savage werewolf, gives you increased resistances, increased max stamina and more weapon damage! But, unlike the Vampire you don't have any downsides when in human form (you only take increased poison or disease damage when you actually use the werewolf form.
So the key difference between the 2 is: Vampire is active at all times, where as with the werewolf you are the same as an 'uninfected player' until you use the Werewolf ultimate and go into werewolf form.
Which one is better
There isn't necessary a 'better' one, not even for stamina or magicka users, as it really depends on what you plan to do in the game, or what you are playing. Each one has its downs and upsides, the vampire for example can help you with sustain, and also with movability, where are the Werewolf can make you a mini juggernaut that is a force to be reckoned with!
The Werewolf
So personally I wouldn't recommend Werewolf to any Magicka users, as the werewolf is 100% stamina focused, the only ability that uses magicka is your Howl, which is a self heal. However if you a magicka user you will just lack proper stamina recovery and weapon damage to really be a threat.
So for who is the werewolf useful?
- Stamina users who want an unique ultimate, that greatly increases your damage and gives your powerful damage over time effects
- Stamina users who want extra stamina recovery on their backbar ( I for example am a werewolf on my Nightblade, and I slot the werewolf ultimate on my bow backbar I don't use the ultimate but it gives me 15 % increased stamina recovery
The werewolf is very powerful for PvP, I don't see a lot of users running it in PvE, but for PvE farming such as in Imperial City, its absolutely amazing! You can make several hundreds of thousands of gold an hour with a proper Werewolf build!

The Vampire
So the vampire works different then the werewolf as in: it gives you constant buffs and debuffs, once you get infected with the Vampire curse, your character will become as white as snow (perfect for playing hide and seek in Skyrim)
Vampire Benefits and Downsides
The benefits of being a vampire are that you gain increased stamina and magicka recovery, once you have the passives unlocked and you are the required stage, and you also take less damage when you below 50% health. However there are also downsides, your health recovery will be significantly reduced -75% health recovery at max stage, and you also take extra damage from fire.

So for who is Vampirism useful?
Vampirism can be useful for many many players here is a list below and why:
- PvE tanks, Yes you do take extra fire damage but the reduced damage taken makes more then up for it, als the increased recovery helps out greatly
- Magicka users: Increased stamina and magicka recovery, very useful
- Stamina Users: Stamina classes such as a templar, or a dragonknight have low movability, and in open world PvP such as Cyrodiil this can be problematic, abilities such as vampire mist can help you surive and allow you to recover, thus staying alive longer.
